Word of the Day 1 Comment »

This word for the day is written in the spirit of intercession.  Receive it thusly.  Ahava

As I prepare for the prayer call this morning, I am recovering from 4 days of fevers and the symptoms that go with that – headaches, shakes and dizziness.   On every clear moment, I was aware of the phone calls that I had yet to return, the people waiting to move forward, the individuals that I was responsible to and for.

But this morning He gave me a word and He gave me a vision.  It was a gray day and there was this man – he was large and muscled – his face chiseled and handsome, bearded but groomed – his strength was such that as he walked up a steep incline he did it with such ease and as I Iooked closely he carried me almost like a piece of cloth across his chest with my head on his shoulder.   As I lay there sleeping, my hair was like it was as a baby – long blonde and curly – baby fine.  It shone.  As we reached a place on the mountain he turned a bit and I looked and all he said to me as he wouldn’t let me see was – ‘three meetings.’

During the delirium of the fevers this week there were many other visions and thoughts.  There was confusion and warfare and mostly an inability to find a way to describe the meaning or even the imagery that came my way, but my fast was having its desired effect.  I was getting the re-gridding and the restructuring that I had been asking for.  I was looking for firm footing and clearer imagery for articulation and navigation for the teams that were being formed and awaited marching orders.

As I write this, I have my prayer team on my mind.  I wonder how the rest of the Body would respond to this.  In the past, I have been belittled for my transparency and forthrightness – too direct – I have been told.  How can you be too direct?  Aren’t we looking for efficiency?  Maybe, we are not.  I am.

Tears dripping – mixing with sweat that has already mixed with mucous falls from my chin.

Tears dripping – reminding me of my inability to clearly see the totality of the fix we are in.

Tears dripping – bringing relief somehow reminding me that He will wipe them away and whisper – we win.

This is my beloved son in whom I am well pleased.  Follow Him.  He is the way, the truth and the life, and no man comes to me but by Him.  If you are ever to honor me, Yahweh, you must honor and know Yahshua for He is the door and He is the Good Shepherd and His words are the light for world.  He is the Resurrection and the Life and as you have been teaching – He is the True Vine, so attach yourself like never before and live sanctified and fasted and I will show you my plans and you will play an integral part.

He has gone before you and created for you spaces magnanimous.  Spaces where you will build and create.  It is true.  Rejoice and prepare.  Ahava.

Hello everyone,

Thanks for your prayers.  The Holy Spirit used Michael Lewis to expedite the issuance of my passport and my trip to Ireland rocked.

Tomorrow morning I will be addressing the Christian Business Leaders and I want you to know that if you dial in to the prayer call you can hear us.

Without faith it is impossible to please Yahweh.  Faith always comes by hearing and hearing by His word, Yah’s word.  Faith works by love and perfected love, love tested by trials and temptation, casts out all fear.

By faith Abraham believed Yahweh and Isaac was conceived, protected, offered and accepted — changing things for all of us for all time.   Abraham, with all of his weaknesses, believed Yah and it was counted unto him as righteousness/mastery and because of it he gained the rank of friend of YHWH.   Of all the people on earth, Noah believed Yah and spent his life being ridiculed for building something the world didn’t want and really thought they would never need.  It is his lineage that has a legacy and no other.  You and I are all descended from his loins and have in us the very same strength.  (We also have his weaknesses, but we can do all things and overcome all things through Moschiach who strengthens us.)

Today, my daughter takes two final examinations.  The first one is in High Honors Geometry and the second is in High Honors History.  When I came home from Ireland yesterday, I found my little girl in sweats in her room at the end of 8 hours of study time going over her study sheets in preparation.  As it was Father’s Day, I asked her to take a moment to pray together.  Her stress was relieved and it wasn’t twenty minutes later, she was sound asleep and trusting that she would do well on these two exams.  By faith we are anxious for nothing.  By faith we receive the perfected love that casts out all fear.  By faith we rest.

Today, I am basking in the afterglow of a weekend where I was truly blessed.  A friend of mine, Kevin McGovern, took me as his guest to Ireland for the weekend.  On this trip, he couldn’t have honored me more.  He showed me a world of wealth and influence that I had seen glimpses of but had not been privileged to enjoy – as someone who belongs – until this weekend.  Each person who belonged to this amazing golf club had memberships at various clubs around the world and spoke of experiences and things on levels that few people speak about from experience.  On more than one occasion I stood watching the extended sunset – which didn’t occur until around 10:45 pm thanking Yahweh for the blessing that this experience was for me.  In conversations with various leaders and individuals, the teachings of Yahshua were discussed simply and I trust that His presence was felt.

Abraham, Danielle, Noah and Kevin are all people.  Each of these individuals is a unique spirit with individual relationships that are available to me through what I give to them.  The joy that each brings me is solely up to me.  I can choose to be thankful and in a receiving mode or I can choose to be critical and in a craven mode, wanting more.   I am thankful for what Abraham has introduced me to and shown me as I am grateful to Noah for his steadfast decision-making and his willingness to finish.  I am not upset with Danielle for having other priorities on Father’s Day and I was amazingly surprised and blessed when Kevin offered to take me on this amazing trip.

In the book of James, Yahshuas half- brother in the natural, I am blessed as I see a powerful process in that very first chapter.

1.

Trouble Comes – Count it all joy knowing that troubles are only tests given to test your faith and develop your patience.

2.     Let Patience work – If you do, then you will find yourself equipped with all that you need – lacking or wanting nothing.

3.     Ask for wisdom – daily.  But when you ask, expect to receive it and when you do trust that which you receive and act on it.

4.     Be single minded – trust your inner voice – avoid people who do otherwise.  People who are back and forth are not going to receive their prize and will turn out to be a major liability.  Move on.

5.     Temptation comes but not from God.  Resist it.

6.    After you have resisted – AFTER – you will be rewarded. Your faith has been proven.

7.     Remember that good comes only from Yah.  Refuse to be duped into anything else.  There is no variableness in Him.  Ultimately, only He can be trusted, relied upon and only He can deliver you completely to your created end.

I am grateful for my friends.  I am grateful to each of you.  As I finish this letter, I am completing 46 hours of a foodless fast.  I will not come off this fast until certain things manifest in the natural.  Certain victories are won through prayer AND fasting.  Daily,  I am grateful to have been chosen to be part of His plan – no matter how small my part is.

Join me on the prayer call in the morning.  I will be addressing the Christian Business Leaders Association of New York City.  We will commence at 7:45 and you will be open to pray at 8:15 when I am finished speaking.  Stephen will take it from there.  There will be no roll call tomorrow.  So, email me tonight or early tomorrow to allow us time to create a list of people that we can call on to pray.

Ahava,

Dan

Friends,

Unity requires Leadership and Leadership is and always has been granted from the followers.  No leader can lead without permission.  I ask your permission to allow me to lead and when you give it to me, I ask that you remember that you did so.  Also, as you travel through the Body of Christ remember this principle.  When you go to gatherings – grant the leadership your permission to set the tone and the tenor.  Should they grant you the honor to teach or instruct then do so in love, with great humility.

I am honored by our friendship and as I pray this morning earnestly I am blessed to remember you.

As I write this I am experiencing pain in my right knee from residual wear and tear from activities that took place in the eighties.  This pain is causing me to make adjustments/compensations that causes pain along the right side of my back.  In addition to that I have a blood blister on my left hand and sunburn caused by the time spent in the sun as I prepare for an upcoming golf tournament in Ireland.  My heart is working well and my lungs are doing great as they served me well in 94 degree heat and an 8 mile walk the other day.  I tell you this, because this is how the Body of Christ/Moschiach feels.  When someone is in pain or out of sorts, they draw attention to themselves.   And, in fact, they are supposed to.

It is not for the eye to claim supremacy over the arch of the left foot.  It is not for the neck to rule over the thumb on the right hand.  The truth of the matter is clear to anyone who will listen.  The eye has been given to us to see well enough to keep the rest of the Body safe and moving toward productivity.  The ear has been given to us so that we can be aware of what is further away and the sense of touch has been given to us when times are dark or when our view is obstructed.  When things are invisible, sometimes we can smell them and each of our senses have their headquarters in places atop the rest of the Body that holds them up.  It can be said that the hands are higher than the eyes because our arms can be held up for a time to reach above eye level.   The foot cannot look out for itself, nor can the heart be expected to think things through.  This metaphor when considered gives me pause and if I am not careful will cause me great pressure.   I have learned and, in truth,  still learning to cast the cares of what I see and know over onto Yahweh.

On Sunday past, we prayed for the sick.  We conduct a service to minister to the sick every month.  These people are part of the Body.  Their immobility and their suffering are causing the Body suffering that affects each of us.  Much of their pain is avoidable, but that is a subject for another day.  Until then, we must assign those to care for the sick, the disabled, the hungry, the depressed and the misguided with a focus on their restoration to functionality and responsibility within the Body of Moschiach.  In the meantime, there is other work that needs to be done and it has always been done through delegation and with an understanding of the importance of both parts of the church – one going out and taking dominion – while the other meets the needs of those in the Body.  Proper communication between the two groups is essential – as there should be a single-minded over-arching plan.  Galatians the 6th Chapter and the Wisdom contained there should be one place that we look for guidance.  Bear ye one another’s burdens and Bear your own burden.  Each man should take ownership of his weaknesses and his strengths.  He should come to know the highest joy which is serving others, loving others and being strong enough to bear another man’s burden – spiritually, physically, mentally, emotionally, socially or financially.

This is where unity comes to the forefront.  Each day people jump from one group to another bringing their pain and suffering and crying out for attention.   Our leaders are not unified to the point that standardized systems and understandings have been put in place so that a new person understands what to expect when they arrive at a new destination – in a different part of the Body.  They leave one place where they were not cared for, and where they have chosen to judge to travel to a new group where they can make their demands for care while bringing skepticism and criticism which causes the leadership to be wary of the potential drain on resources that this ‘hurting church or group hopper’ most likely brings.  As a seasoned leader in the Body of Moschiach, I am very sensitive to ‘who is with me’, ‘who is under authority’, ‘who is hurting’ and ‘who is whole enough to help others’.

Always remember that hurting people will speak to you in one way or another to reveal their pain.  They will, either, withdraw and become fruitless or they will complain and criticize.  Both of these situations must be addressed with John 15 in mind.  (Whoever is bearing fruit is in the Vine and therefore in the Body.  No Fruit – then the husbandmen will cut them off.  Even a disabled man can pray.  The Bible says that if you are hurting, then pray.  If you are experiencing success and increase – then sing praises to Yah.  Praisers will be put out in front of the army – without natural weapons and it is those that will lead us to the land of Promise.   This should tell you that the passive aggressive – mopey faced – critical – attractors of attention – should only be tolerated until they prove that they are not even attempting to become burden removers.)

Exhortation I give you.  Edification comes when you hear faith-filled scriptural teaching.  Correction and guidance are a bit harder to understand and much more difficult to write, but as an Apostle in His Kingdom I write this epistle – this living letter laced with Heavenly Writ – to you for your consideration and your comments.

As our groups grow, so must our capacity.  We must allow the Holy Spirit to strengthen us as the vocal, the hurting, the disabled turn to criticize as they are really calling out for love.  Let us learn to love and remember that when we are in pain that love casts out all kinds of fear.  As I judge myself, I am aware of many pains that I live with and have to deal with in my Body, my mind and in my emotions.  I am minimally aware of the compensations that I make each day as I try to avoid the pain of weariness and the sharper pains of weights that may be too heavy for me to bear.  I am aware of many things and when I say minimally, I do so only to say that my awareness is piqued to a point that I see enough to know that even though I see more than most, my vantage point clues me in to the vast horizons and vistas that are beyond my current capacities and awareness.

Yahweh – what I see – I will address.  Your joy is my strength.  I see the pain in the nations where water is riddled with disease.  I see the pain in the people in places ravaged by hatred and lack.  I see the destruction that selfishness causes in individual persons, in households, in neighborhoods, in cities, in states, in nations and on continents.   I see what you have taught me to see and I hear your voice.  I speak life and that more abundantly – a fullness of joy and fearlessness.  I speak love that is fearless and I will teach those that you send me and will mentor those that will press in to lead.  I will ask for your wisdom daily and will expect to receive it.  Provision in the form of influence, favor and currency will be ours for your purpose and your glory Yahweh.  I ask that you strengthen me to a place where I can look to you for my sustenance and my strength.  Protect me from my errors – past, present and future.  You have my devotion, my energy and my words.  Thy Kingdom Come – Thy Will be done.  Hallowed be Thy Name – Yahweh Yahshua.  Ahava

He loves you baby. He smiles each day as you come to Him boldly, humbly or any other way. He knows the choices that you have made. He knows the little adjustments that need to be made. He knows. He knows. He knows and I strive to break through to help Him communicate all of that to you and you and yes, you.

Apostle Dan

Another day of obedience – another day of growth – another day of remembrance – a day to call others to repentance without condemnation while giving them the tools to climb higher – this truly is the day that Yah has made.

He will be praised today. The sick will be prayed for. The word will be taught. A place has been created to give men an opportunity to give of their lives to Yahweh in thanksgiving for what Yahshua has done. And I will watch to see who shows up. I will watch to see who reverences and who passes through the day unaware. In addition to that, I will watch as they watch me – with all of their projections and perceptions. Still, I will pray for them and help them, this is my calling.

Leadership is a funny thing. People need you, but with all of their strength they work to disqualify you. When you know this, it is difficult to continue. Sadly, you begin to understand why so many succumb to be like everyone else – wallowing in weakness – tasting temptation. On so many days, in so many ways I am reminded to look only unto Yahshua who will author my words, my thoughts and the movement of my feet. He will also polish those words to a finer finish than I could ever imagine. Knowing this, I can speak without trepidation supplying my Yah, my Yahsua, my precious Ruach – my breath and my courage with the exhalation that He needs to make things turn out right. (As I write this, my thoughts run to those in my world that experience pressure from lack, fear and anger – the homeless, the trapped and the selfish. And my thoughts linked to His are followed by emotions laced with empathy, compassion and an urge to do something.)

Go into every man’s world and proclaim the good news that Help is here.

Smile real big in the midst of their fear reminding them to “Be of good cheer.”

Go with a friend who prays like you do -

a friend who won’t quit you or waver or discourage you.

Go with fervor and with passionate resolve –

with people on your mind at all times.

Remember His mission – His purpose and plan

And remember He did all that He did, as a man.

You, too, are equipped. You are set apart and given your degree.

Signs will follow you, I declare it and proclaim it – now go and you’ll see.

My friends,

I am a bit frustrated that the Shapevine Virtual Chapter meeting will not take place tonight.  As I prepare for the PVN Chapter President’s call I wrote these thoughts for you while thinking of you.

Apostle Dan

Word for the day from the desk of Dan Stratton

ds@mypvn.com

In all your ways acknowledge Him.   Wait on Yahweh and be of good courage and He will strengthen your heart.  The joy of Yahweh is our strength.  This is the day Yahweh has made, I will rejoice and be glad in it.  For Yahweh is good and His mercy endureth for ever.  Weeping may last for a night, but joy always comes in the morning.  For the joy that is set before us, we despise the shame, endure the cross and press toward the mark of the high calling in Moschiach Yahshua for it is better to have one day in His presence than a million years elsewhere.  As I praise Him and meditate His words I submit to Him, resisting the devil knowing that He flees from me.  Happy am I knowing that my name is written in the Lamb’s book of life.  I am fully aware of the fact that we are seated in heavenly places for our Yah sent His only begotten Son so that we might have everlasting life and the accompanying abundance.  He sent His Son to reconcile us back to Him.  He is faithful and true.  He is light and in Him is no variableness.  He is not a man that He can lie and what He has begun in each of us He will accomplish it unto the day of Victory – Yahshua, Deliverance- Yahshua, which is and always will be Salvation-Yahshua.

From the rising of the sun to the going down of the same, He is to be praised.  Let everything that hath breath praise Him.  Every knee shall bow and every tongue confess that Yahshua is Yahweh.  Rejoice I say.  Again, I say rejoice for Yahweh is at the point of creation.  He is the pen of a ready writer.  He is the author and the finisher of every faith-filled thought and word.  Who am I that He would pay attention to me?

This morning as I meditate His word and His goodness, I am reminded of the power of this morning’s prayer gathering.  The prophetic gifts were in operation and the Holy Spirit reigned as each person waited their turn to do their Holy part.   How beautiful are the feet of those that bring good news.  A man’s gift will most definitely make room for us and will place us before kings.

I just got a text message from Tom Waltz.  He sends his regards from his ranch in Texas as they are dealing with a well that is ready to be pumped for oil.  That’s right.  You heard me, they’ve struck oil.  Earlier in the day, Sam Timpano and I spoke to Chairman Carl Venne of the Crow Nation and he said, “We really liked your proposal and we will be contacting you before the end of the month to begin the process to do business.”   I will keep you posted, but this is a very large opportunity.  I was reminded that yesterday a woman from Turkey held my hand and asked Yahshua into her heart.  I was also reminded that I had dinner with a young unmarried couple as they agreed to finally get married, honor the Lord and raise their Son properly.  And let’s not forget that my daughter woke me up this morning.  We drove to Starbucks to get some coffee and then we went on to her school.  I love that time of day.  Oh yeah, I preached a great deal of the first 6 chapters of Acts as we, “tried to get to Galatians Chapter 1.”  Ahava

Friends,

Please forward these letters of encouragement to your partners and friends.  Let us rejoice with those who rejoice and allow yourself to mourn, also, with those who mourn.

Today, I will travel to Brooklyn.  Angel Rivera will be picking me up at 10 am.  I will meet with a gym owner to learn about the boxing business.  Martin Wright who has been boxing for over 10 years and was an Amateur Gold Glove Champion is now 7-0 as a professional boxer.  His Dad, Mac Gerald, is a strong member of our church.  We are looking into the possiblity of helping Martin to find the right team to take him towards the Championship at 147 pounds.  Please pray for us.  I will also be praying with Martin today as he has some very personal things that we need to bring into line with Yahweh’s will and His word.

After that I will be meeting with Win Green who pastors a group of students at Princeton University.  He is two years older than me and we played football together at Yale.  Win is an example of the kind of thing that is going on in the Spirit for us at PVN and FEF.  In just the past few weeks major organizations led by strong individuals have begun to contact me to form relationships.  The New York Leadership Foundation, led by Mac Pier of Concerts for Prayer and John Clause the Eastern Regional Director for World Vision and the Christian Union - a ministry formed to create ministries on the campuses of all eight Ivy League Schools are two of those organizations.  Win and I will pray together and I believe further insight will be given to us concerning the unity that we have been praying for.  Also, Gerry Curatola came to church last night.  He is the founder of Christian Business Leaders - a group that meets 8 times a year at various places around the city.  His organization links some of the ministries that I have been familiar with, but that have, up until now, not operated on the level of cooperation that I believe the Lord is moving us towards in this hour and at this time.

We should have ‘ good funds ‘ today for the closing of the lease.  When Kim Jones calls me with this news, I will call our current and future Landlord to set the closing for 75 Maiden Lane.  At that point the construction can start and we can begin planning for all of the ministry that will go forth from this place.  I solicit your involvement.

We also have been blessed by a partner of FEF and PVN and a landscaper is coming to our home to discuss the plans for a complete landscape makeover.  Since we have transitioned from my trading years to the ministry years, we have put our personal comfort on hold and placed the financial needs of the ministry ahead of our own.  We are humbled on this day to see people wanting to make our home more beautiful.  Not only will we enjoy it, but it will be a strong witness to the goodness of Yahshua in the community where we live.

At 5 today, I will speak with Kyle Newton concerning the possible partnership with Mental Wealth which has been birthed through the connections at the ProVision Network.  Kyle came to us through Bonnie Sherwood.  He has moved to Fort Worth from Bowling Green, Kentucky.  Since the beginning Kyle has been a strong supporter of PVN and currently sits on our Board of Directors.  He has designed our current website, which we have all enjoyed.  Pray for us as we strive to stay together while we all experience growth and the pains that growth almost always brings.

Finally, I get to take my girls to a celebration of the spring sports season.  Danielle played Lacrosse for the first time.  The three of us are enjoying our love for each other and the excitement of the incredible breakthroughs that we all should be and will be enjoying.

Friends,  I am praying for you again tonight.  I can’t get you off of my mind.  We are very close to major change and transformation.  I am feeling it and I am feeling strong.  It is like I am already on the other side.  All is well with the world.  Josh Groban, Sarah Mclachlin, Neil Diamond, Garth Brooks, Van Morrison – all of the music that soothes me – surrounds me in my imagination.  Heavenly assignments.  Heavenly victories already won.  Hallelujah.  Please remember to write and when you write ponder… Dance and play.  He would have it that way.

Hey…… By the way, stay for just a while with me, outside the fray, between the black and white, in the gray, in the realm of the lyrical – musical words, the empirical – the truth that is science – but not rigid – artistic science if you will – powerful art – would be another way to describe it.  Satirical – is that how your mind works?  Don’t scoff as I play between the lines, hoping that you will do so….

Friends,  I need to hear from you.  Great things are shaking and I really want to know who is with us and who is not.  Email me and let me know either way.  I am a big boy and I can take it.  We are taking a great step towards creating a beach head for miracles on Wall Street.  The final negotiations went down today.  Tomorrow, $500,000 will be ‘good funds’ from one donor.  This money will be used to preach the gospel, develop leaders and uproot the spirit of mammon.  Now is the time for you to show your support for us in whatever way Yahweh would lead you to do so.  An encouraging word, attendance at church, prayer, finances - you decide.  However, we are not looking for people who are not fully committed.  We are going all out.  If you are, then we need you.  Now is the time.

Friends,
Be of good cheer, I have overcome the world. No weapon formed against you shall prosper. Every tongue that rises in judgment shall be condemned. You are the head and not the tail, you are above and not beneath. Everything that you put your hand to do shall prosper. All of your need is met according to His riches in glory by Moschiach Yahshua for you are not ashamed of the gospel of Yahshua Moschiach.
